Took the kids to the Smithsonian US History Museum on Saturday. They have an exhibit on Abraham Lincoln as well as another one on all the presidents.
They had a part of the exhibit where the kids stood behind the presidential pulpit and were on t.v. reading a speech from a teleprompter. It was pretty cool. As usual, they weren't the most enthusiastic participants, but I keep telling myself they'll thank me .....for what, only time will tell...

You are right -- your kids will thank you. Chris was 7 when their family lived in Virginia for a year. He vividly remembers going to the Smithsonian and wishes now he would have been more enthusiastic about it. You are making some great memories with your children! Corenna
